OTDYKH LAB. Low Season Laboratory

The objective of the Laboratory is to promote tourism in Russia during the low season by developing unique tourism products to attract more tourists, both domestic and foreign.

For OTDYCHLAB participants, this is a valuable opportunity to work with expert jurors who will provide mentorship and a real environment for test prototypes developed during the competition, with the potential to scale for wider industry adoption.

An open recruitment for regional teams for REST Lab has been announced. "High ideas for the low season"

On September 15, a Creathon event will take place, during which regional teams will create a popular winter product. The organizers of the competition are Rostourism, the Russian Union of Travel Industry (PCT) and OTDYCH Leisure.

Each team can include 3 people from the business. You can send your applications to the mail regions@rostourunion.ru specifying the name of the regional team until September 9 inclusive.

There are 7 regions in the list formed at the first stage of the application campaign:

- Novgorod region

- Sverdlovsk region

- Samara Region

- Republic of Mordovia

- Voronezh region

- The Republic of Buryatia

- Republic of Bashkortostan

The jury of the laboratory includes:

- Yulia Rybakova, adviser to the head of Rostourism

- Ilya Umansky, acting President of the PCT, General Director of the company "ALEAN"

- Sergey Shpilko, Head of the PCT Committee for Domestic Tourism, Honorary President of the PCT

- Olga Sanaeva, Vice President of the PCT, Head of the Regional Council of the PCT

- Dmitry Manin, Deputy Head of the Regional Council of the PCT, Head of the PCT Committee on Autotourism

- Alexey Vengin, co-head of the PCT Committee on Inbound Tourism; CEO of media holding Profi.travel

- Yulia Zholya, Executive Director of NAOM

- Natalia Lebedeva,  Head of Marketing, Russia Beyond

- Vazgen Avetisyan, Marketing and Sales Director, Regional Tourism Development Center

The best ideas and projects will be awarded with honorary prizes and will be supported by the organizers of the OTDYKH Lab - Rostourism, the PCT and the OTDYKH Leisure forum-exhibition.
