Strategic session Silver Necklace of Russia

More than 60 constituent entities of Russia are operating tourism development programs. One of the successful big projects is "Silver Necklace of Russia". It was created in 2012 on behalf of the Presidentof the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin. The project includes routes connecting cities, towns and large settlements with unique historical and cultural sighns, as well as natural sites. Some of them are included in the UNESCO World Heritage List.

It is an unified tourist and recreational system of 11 regions of the North-West Federal District of Russia. The key goal of the project is to increase the tourist flow to these regions and thereby contribute to the socio-economic development of these lands.

In this strategic session travel experts will discuss major local tourism projects, assess the tourism potential of the Silver Necklace of Russia project.They will also share their experience of successfully building project offices. "
