OTDYKH Leisure 2023 Travel Market, Russia’s premier travel and tourism event will be held Sept. 12 to Sep. 14 at the Expocentre Fairgrounds Pavilion Forum in Moscow.
This annual event is timely, as winter season on the Russian inbound and outbound tourism market is around the corner. OTDYKH Leisure will bring together dozens of key players from every area of the tourism sector, and provide ample opportunities for networking, business meetings and negotiations at exhibitor stands.
At last years OTDYKH Leisure event, everyone took advantage of the meeting space to interact with other key players in the industry, even officials. In one great example, Ms. Zarina Dougzova, head of the Russian Federal Agency for Tourism held meetings with Mr. Ali Ernesto Padrón Paredes, Venezuela’s minister of tourism; Mr. Juan Carlos Garcia Granda, Cuba’s minister of tourism; and Hon. Dr. Bandula Gunawardana, Sri Lanka’s minister of transport.
OTDYKH Leisure is supported by governmental authorities of the Russian Federation including the Ministry of Economic Development of the Russian Federation; the State Duma Committee for Physical Culture, Sport, Tourism and Youth Affairs; the Association of Russian Tour Operators (ATOR), the Russian Union of Travel Industry (PCT), Russian Hotel Association (RGA) and other national and regional authorities.
Like last year’s event, this year OTDYKH Leisure will feature numerous partners and sponsors. Last year, the event proudly boasted 12 sponsors including Egypt, the partner country, which had a phenomenal stand and a large delegation.
This year’s sponsors include Kuzbass as the official regional partner, and Saint Petersburg the official partner city. Business programme sponsors include Travelline and Bnovo, while the Moscow State Institute of International Relations will sponsor the event’s educational sessions.
This year, the travel market expects to have more exhibitors and visitors than last year, despite sanctions and current travel restrictions. Organizers anticipate exhibitors from over 50 regions of Russia and 15 counters including Egypt, Sri-Lanka, India, China, Thailand, Tunisia, Uganda, Cuba, CIS countries, and more.
Business Programme 2023
The 2023 business program will boast over 30 events including conference, sessions, roundtable discussions, and workshops, and 170 speakers.
Topics will cover a wide range of issues including the outlook of tourism, challenges and new opportunities in the market; tourism trends in Russia and new destinations; business and investments in the tourism sector; new technology in the travel industry and much more.
