Anyone can feel like an explorer in Uganda and open themselves to the wonders of nature, unmatched anywhere on this planet. There are plenty of reasons for visiting this extraordinary country but here are just TOP-5 with which to start and include Uganda in your wish-list for travels.

Uganda is one of the three countries in the world where it is possible to see a mountain gorilla in the wild, which is under the threat of extinction. Half of these forest giants “dwell” in Uganda.

In addition, elephants, hippos, crocodiles, zebras, lions, leopards, giraffes, and over 1000 species of birds inhabit 10 national parks of Uganda. One of the best places where wild nature is carefully preserved is the Queen Elizabeth National Park. Only here, in the Southern part of the Park is it possible to see tree-climbing lions!

Uganda’s landscapes take the breath away. In the West of the country, right at the Equator ascend the majestic mountains of Ruwenzori, covered with tropical forests and adorned with snowy tiaras. “Ruwenzori” translates from the language of Bantu people as “Moon Mountains,” from its lows to the sky, the columns of white steamrise: these are the powerful hot springs of volcanic origin. In the South, Lake Victoria is situated, the second largest fresh-water lake in the world and the main “reservoir” of the Nile, the longest river in the world (6671 km).

The Ugandans are one of the friendliest and hospitable people. Anywhere the travelers go in this open-hearted and beautiful country, the locals greet them with the widest smiles.

There are no crowds of tourists in Uganda, and for that reason, you shouldn’t worry that somebody’s going to interfere with you seeing the gorilla or taking a beautiful shot.

Africa is always bright and unforgettable. Getting to know more about the touristic product of Uganda – Safari, travel to the gorillas and chimpanzees, trips to the national parks, and many more – is possible at the International Touristic Fare OTDYKH Leisure, which will be held from September 13 to September 15, in Moscow.

Only at OTDYKH Leisure will the touroperators be able to obtain exclusive offers from Uganda’s DMC-companies and start business network.
